Get in Touch
Taking the first step towards counselling doesn't have to feel overwhelming.
Perhaps you've been thinking about counselling for a while.
Maybe you're struggling with anxiety, intrusive thoughts, OCD, health anxiety, grief, anger or your mental health.
Or perhaps you're not completely sure what you need — you just know that things don't feel right at the moment.
You don't need to have everything figured out before you get in touch.
We can start with a conversation.
Book a Free 15-Minute Consultation
I offer a free, confidential 15-minute consultation for anyone considering counselling with me.
It's an opportunity to briefly talk about what's bringing you to counselling, ask any questions you may have and see whether you feel I could be the right counsellor for you.
There is no obligation to book further sessions.
You don't need to prepare anything in advance.
You can simply tell me what's been happening and we can take it from there.
What happens during the consultation?
We might talk briefly about:
-
what has brought you to counselling
-
what you would like support with
-
whether you've had counselling before
-
whether you have any questions about how counselling works
-
whether face-to-face, online or telephone counselling would suit you
-
what you would like to happen next
Sometimes, making that first contact is the hardest part.
You don't have to find the perfect words.

What If I'm Nervous About Contacting a Counsellor?
That's completely understandable.
Getting in touch can feel like a big step, particularly if you've never had counselling before.
You may be worried about being judged.
You may not know what to say.
You may wonder whether your problems are “serious enough.”
You may even feel uncomfortable talking about emotions.
You don't have to arrive knowing exactly what you need.
My role is to provide a confidential, compassionate and non-judgemental space where we can work things out together.
You don't have to wait until things get worse before asking for support.
A Little About Me
I'm Natalie, a BACP Registered Counsellor with over 11 years of counselling experience.
My areas of particular interest include anxiety, OCD, health anxiety, grief and bereavement, men's mental health and anger management.
I also have five years' experience working within a specialist bereavement counselling service, supporting clients experiencing different forms of loss and managing a team of counsellors and volunteers.
My approach is person-centred, with CBT-informed and mindfulness approaches incorporated where appropriate.
Most importantly, I want you to feel that you can be yourself in counselling.
You don't have to pretend everything is okay.
Ready to Take the First Step?
You don't need to write a long message.
You don't need to know exactly what you want from counselling.
Just get in touch.
We can have a brief conversation and decide together whether counselling feels right for you.
